You saw it here first! " An N-scale garden railway - building a downsized railway in a flower pot."

The December 2015 issue of Garden Railways has an article by Paul Smith. The title is "An N-Scale Garden Railway, building a downsized railway in a flower pot."

You saw it here, back in March  in the post

There were three Baldwin Fairymead locos used at the Fairymead Sugar Mill in Queensland, Australia. Of these two were scrapped but there is one remaining. This has been rebuilt and is in use at the at the Lake Macquarie Light Rail in Toronto New South Wales Australia.

Australian Garden Railway from Gary Newton

To all at MGRS,

My name is Gary Newton and I am from Ballarat Victoria Australia. I have been into Garden Rail for 30 plus years, starting with a second Mamod loco in 0 Gauge and most recently 2 Accucraft 7/8 scale locos, a Fairymead and also the Emma. These are both terrific.

Over the years I have found quite a few locos and made much of my own rolling stock. In recent times I came across the amazing videos by Eric Schade on You Tube and I must say that I am very impressed, he certainly does a good job.
I would very much like to get in contact with someone over there who has similar interests to my own. I am sending some pix of what I have been up to.

Best Wishes from Gary Newton Ballarat Victoria Australia

A&J Railroad Invites You to Run Your Train

Jim Jenkins is a long-time member of the MGRS who invites members to run their trains at his new railroad in Gray, Maine.  Some years ago, Jim built a beautiful layout at his home in West Bath.  But he and his wife, Anne, recently moved to Gray to be near her relatives.  The A&J has moved with them, and promises to be as ambitious as his West Bath layout.  Jim's current project is a whopping 16' long engine house in which to store his trains.  The other day it occurred to Jim that many MGRS members don't have layouts, but might like a chance to run their trains. He and Anne want you to know that they welcome such members to bring their trains to Gray and operate them on the A&J.  People who have their own layouts are also welcome.  Just give Jim and Anne a call.  Their address is 11 Adler Avenue, Gray, which is close to Hannafords or Route 26.  Their phone number is 657-9218,
