Here is another SCGRR Winter project. This one is a non-traditional Water Tower. Everyone seems to make round ones. We thought we'd be different. It is a "Figment Tower"! That is a Figment of our Imagination!
The Plan!
The platform framing. 1/2" Nominal Western Red cedar. Bordered by 1/2" x 1/8" WRC.
The platform with decking material added. Decking is ~.085" thick x 1-13/32" wide. Not to any standerd board size. Just the width of the Balusters. Again, Western Red Cedar.

I think you have great design in your "Figment Tower". I just hope your not planning on purple & yellow to follow the theme of "your imagination"
I think that will look good. Keep us posted on progress. And , yes the tractor was a nice touch!
Mike,
No purple or yellow. I don't do purple and the wife doesn't like yellow.
By the way, is Figment still at Epcot?
Yes he is. I was only funning with you. Can wait to see the finished tower.
I ‘am glad to see that I ‘am not the only one who draws things out before I start to build. I like the idea of something different. And your square water tower is a novel idea. Do you have a water spout or are going to make one?
Mrdeere
Very Interesting! If you line the tank with the 'proper' wood, you could store more than just water in it, and deliver a little sampling to your visitors. Now that would be very novel...
As far as the spout goes. I'll probably have to make something.
As for the "PROPER" wood lining, aren't homemade stills illegal? Or were you thinking of "Grape Juice"?
Neither! Grape juice may freeze, and operating a still is way too much work. I'd rather store the finished product in the tank: scotch, bourbon, wine, or beer would be great...
