In Wales there are a number of restored narrow gauge lines. The Ffestiniog Railway was said to be the inspiriation for the Maine two foot gauge lines. It runs though some stunning countryside.here is a video tour:

Very peaceful. Nice video.
I have ridden on several of these reailwyas when the Vermont Garden Railway society visited the Lakes District in England several years ago. Also rode in the cab of a steam engine.
