Spooks Alive!

This afternoon, several members of the Maine Veterans Home were treated to a spooky ride through the dark woods that lie behind the Overlook Railroad in Buxton.  Each fall, Carl and Pat Churchill and Mac McLaughlin install a horde of ghosties and beasties along the winding roads behind their homes.  This fall even more ghoulish figures have joined the fray, warning the veterans and other visitors not to lose their way in the darkened forest.

Safely back at the Churchill's home, the veterans were each given a whistle from the memorial service for John Jackson, our much-loved member who passed away this summer.  John was a proud supporter of the armed forces, and of the Maine Veterans Home in particular.
