Pictured is the PCC Trolley that is under development by Aristo-Craft. I guess I will not hold my breath, but I would love to get one. Eric's post and picture prompted me to look this up again.
I lived in San Francisco from 1954 to 1956. We used to take the California Zephyr back and forth to Colorado. You had to take the ferry from the Ferry Building in SF to Oakland to catch the train. On the second floor of the Ferry Building was a model of the entire state of California, which stretched the whole length of the building--100's of feet long. I expect it's long-since gone.
