A Little more specific...
"Railroad Development Corporation, parent company of Iowa Interstate, purchased a pair of Chinese class QJ 2-10-2 locomotives. The QJ class was the final Chinese steam design to go into production, ending in 1988, with over 4700 built. Before being shipped to the US, the two locomotives were overhauled in China to meet Federal Railroad Administration standards.
QJ 7081, built by Datong Locomotive Works in 1986, performed fundraising trips for the Earlham, Anita, and Atlantic fire departments on July 24 & 25, 2010. All three western Iowa communities are served by Iowa Interstate.
