No Train Horns allowed

Orange County California has used silent crossings for a couple of years.  Here is a picture of an Amtrak which  looks like it is moving pretty fast going through a crossing without blowing it's horn.  I tend to believe in the use of horns and do not think people who move into a crossing area have much of a case when they complain later on.  But, in Orange County many are happy with the quiet zones.  Here is an article which explains how they work.  Please click here:   (Sorry, looks like the link is being worked on).
