Remember the two brothers, in Germany, who had a wonderful model railway that was something to see? This is an update for their German Wonderland.
There have been little clips about this place for the past few years; it is still not finished but might be shortly as they will soon run out of space. Their latest finished area is the airport. Planes look like they are flying and landing as day turns to night. To review... it was started by two brothers as a place to show off their hobby and then it started growing by leaps & bounds. Soon they were joined by other 'Model Railroad Clubs' and other craftsmen. Some were electricians, model makers, carpenters, computer programmers. Their wives would stop by to see what they were doing and usually bring them lunch. One thing led to another. Three of the ladies had worked at a bakery, several visitors would ask if they had a snack bar. The Idea was planted; some of the carpenters came and built a nice restaurant area for the bakery and a kitchentoo. If the fresh Coffee smell didn't get you then the bakery definitely would. This was about 5 years ago. One of the Breweries came and furnished all of the tables and chairs, serving counter etc.GERMAN WONDERLAND link below – AMAZING!

Mall Setup Report for Saturday 11/7 - Move in completed Friday and track laid today
Setup will continue on Sunday 11/8, starting at 9 am. The main and Thomas tracks need to be finished, and the bridges for raise tracks will go up today.
Friday we made good progress with track laying. It turned out that everything had been moved to the Mall and unloaded on Thursday. We also have another four feet of table space at the Bon Ton end, so the layout is now 66 feet long.
Todays Railroad Section Crew included Tiny, Mac, Carl, Tice Leonard, Jim Jenkins, Norman Waycott, and Andy Hendrickson.

Are you addicted to model trains? Check out this video from Australia
Jeff Jacobs offers this link to a fellow modeler’s operation in Australia. If you think you are out of control with acquiring model trains, just take a gander at this video. It will make you feel like you do not have it so bad after all. Imagine a whole house devoted to trains, both operating and display, with a full-time maintenance person to keep them running. The post is almost 9 minutes long.

Australian Garden Railway from Gary Newton
To all at MGRS,
My name is Gary Newton and I am from Ballarat Victoria Australia. I have been into Garden Rail for 30 plus years, starting with a second Mamod loco in 0 Gauge and most recently 2 Accucraft 7/8 scale locos, a Fairymead and also the Emma. These are both terrific.
Over the years I have found quite a few locos and made much of my own rolling stock. In recent times I came across the amazing videos by Eric Schade on You Tube and I must say that I am very impressed, he certainly does a good job.
I would very much like to get in contact with someone over there who has similar interests to my own. I am sending some pix of what I have been up to.
Best Wishes from Gary Newton Ballarat Victoria Australia

A&J Railroad Invites You to Run Your Train
Jim Jenkins is a long-time member of the MGRS who invites members to run their trains at his new railroad in Gray, Maine. Some years ago, Jim built a beautiful layout at his home in West Bath. But he and his wife, Anne, recently moved to Gray to be near her relatives. The A&J has moved with them, and promises to be as ambitious as his West Bath layout. Jim's current project is a whopping 16' long engine house in which to store his trains. The other day it occurred to Jim that many MGRS members don't have layouts, but might like a chance to run their trains. He and Anne want you to know that they welcome such members to bring their trains to Gray and operate them on the A&J. People who have their own layouts are also welcome. Just give Jim and Anne a call. Their address is 11 Adler Avenue, Gray, which is close to Hannafords or Route 26. Their phone number is 657-9218,
